Abstract

Data science, and in particular machine learning, has become one of the most prominent areas in computer science. There is a trend that more and more researchers from various scientific domains try to address their fundamental problems using these technologies, and with it there is a steadily increasing demand for computing resource. Is it just another hype that will more or less seamlessly integrate into the current HPC world or will data science fundamentally change the way HPC centers architect their infrastructure or offer their services?
