Abstract
Within the DOME project IBM and Astron have developed the ultra-dense, energy optimized high performance microdatacenter. We intend to show this technology live, including a demonstration of bluebild, a new imaging algorithm for radio astronomy developed at IBM Zurich research for the SKA and other telescopes, and currently being ported also to the microserver. Bluebild is a paradigm-shifting, least-square imaging algorithm whose image is inherently more accurate than the state-of-the-art, while orders of magnitude faster.
Furthermore we will demonstrate our latest 64bit ARMv8 compute node using the A72 core for the first time in public.
